STAR EXCHANGE TERMS & CONDITIONS
General Explanation
This online internet ordering service for the provision of foreign currency (the “Service”) is provided by for and on behalf of Star Exchange whose place of business is at 111 Oxford Street, London, W1D 2HJ.

In the following Terms and Conditions, “we”, “us” and “our” signify Star Exchange in addition to the term “Star Exchange” and “you” or “your” signifies the customer.
What These Terms and Conditions Apply To
These Terms and Conditions apply to the Service. The content of this website and the Service is directed to persons in the United Kingdom entitled to use the Service. The Service is not directed at any other jurisdiction which prohibits the Service or it is your sole responsibility to comply with and observe all duties, regulations and/or restrictions applicable to your accessing the online Service.
Use of the Service
Only a person above the age of 18 years is eligible to use the Service.
By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions, and that you agree to be bound by them and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those relating to anti-money laundering regulations. You also agree to use the Service to order foreign currency for holiday or business travel and not for investment or any other purposes.
Orders of the Service are subject to a minimum value of £500 and a maximum value of £2,500. Star Exchange reserves the right to amend these limits from time to time.
We shall be entitled to reject or refuse any orders in connection with the Service at our sole discretion and for any reason whatsoever.
Online Orders
By placing an online order, you agree that you are acting on your own behalf and that the information you have provided is true and correct. Star Exchange reserves the right to request further information from you from time to time to complete your order and/or to comply with further regulatory requirements.
To place an order, simply complete the online application form on our website. You will be required to pay for the Service at the time of ordering by BACS or CHAPS. Your order stands confirmed ONLY once payment has been cleared and we confirm your order by email. We will send you an email confirming receipt of payment. Please keep a record of this email as record of the transaction.
If, for some reason, it is not feasible to process or accept your Order after the receipt of payment, we will contact you by email or telephone to sort out the matter.
Foreign Currencies and Rates
The Service is only available for the currencies listed from time to time on our website. The exchange rates we quote may be updated at any time.
Star Exchange will endeavour to provide you with currency in the denominations of your choice as provided for on our website and subject to availability and these Terms and Conditions.
Please note that any changes to the exchange rate as a result of fluctuations in the financial markets are beyond our control and we will not be held responsible or liable for any changes to the exchange rate that may affect the provision of the Service.
Modes of Payment
All payments shall be made in British Pounds Sterling. Star Exchange will only accept BACS or CHAPS Internet Bank transfers.
We will begin processing payment of your order once we receive all the information including cleared payment required to process your order.
Business days of Star Exchange are Monday through Saturday, excluding Sundays and UK Public Holidays.
The processing of payment for orders placed on a weekend or Public Holiday will commence on the next business day.
Delivery of your Order
Your order will be delivered to the address that is designated by you on your utility bill provided to us. If an alternative address is required, this will need to be agreed by us and confirmed in writing by you.
Orders will be dispatched through Royal Mail’s Special Delivery Next Day Service and will require a signature on receipt of your order.
Star Exchange will not accept any responsibility for late delivery where the Postal Service does not meet the requirements of Royal Mail’s Special Delivery Service. Please refer to Royal Mail’s Terms and Conditions on www.royalmail.com.
Delivery cannot be guaranteed on a Saturday, and during Public Holidays, our delivery schedule will be subject to variation. Please either refer to our website or contact us about revised delivery times.
If for any reason, you do not receive your order, please contact us and we will investigate the matter further. We will not however accept any responsibility or liability for safe delivery beyond ensuring the secure handover of your order to your chosen delivery address. We will also not accept any liability for fraudulent acts committed by a third party.
A fee of £5.00 will be charged for each order of £2,500 worth of currency purchased to cover the cost of postage and insurance.
Your order may also be collected from our business address specified in these Terms and Conditions by notifying us in advance by telephone call or email. We cannot guarantee that your order will be processed at the time of attendance without prior notice.
Cancellations
Once your order has already been processed we are unable to accept your cancellation and we will not refund any payments beyond this point. We strongly urge you to place your order only when you are completely ready.
Order changes
If you do need to make any changes to your order, please immediately contact us on 07710 281 755 or by email on info@starexchange.co.uk. We reserve our rights to charge the cancellation fee for any changes made to your order.
Usage and Protection of Your Personal Information
By placing an order, you agree that Star Exchange may store, process and use the personal information and data collected from you or in connection with your order for the purposes of processing your order and our dealings with you.
Please note that our Internet transactions are secure and are protected. Please review our Security & Privacy Policy on our website for more information.
In accordance with the law in relation to crime prevention and recovery we may share your information with regulatory authorities and other third parties for that sole purpose.
Exclusion of Liability
Star Exchange shall use all reasonable care to process the orders placed via the Service.
Star Exchange shall not be liable for any loss of income, profits, contracts, data or for any indirect or consequential loss or damage of any kind howsoever arising, and whether caused by tort (including negligence), breach of contract or otherwise.
The maximum amount for which Star Exchange undertakes liability to you in respect of each use of the Service shall be the purchase price of your order. Accordingly our liability to you shall, under no circumstances, exceed the amount payable by you to us in respect of the order in question, and which amount shall be refunded to you.
Except as otherwise expressly provided in respect of death or personal injury, all other conditions, warranties or legal remedies are excluded to the full extent permissible by applicable law.
By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you hereby accept that this is a genuine and reasonable pre-estimate of the loss you may suffer resulting from any breach by us of our obligations under these Terms and Conditions.
The above exclusions and limitations apply only to the extent permitted by law. None of your statutory rights as a consumer that cannot be excluded or limited are affected.
Force Majeure
We shall not be liable to you for any delay in performing any of our obligations under these Terms and Conditions due to failure of any technical systems or for any other reasons or circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to threat of war, war, terrorism, civil commotion, riot, natural disaster, governmental action, and industrial disputes, strikes, lockouts, impossibility of use of transportation services, power failure or failure of computer software.
Star Exchange shall be entitled to a reasonable extension of time for the performance of such obligations.
Third Party Rights
By placing an order with us, we have entered into a contract with you directly. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions will confer any benefit on any third party or any right to enforce these Terms and Conditions.
Variation of Terms
We reserve the right to amend, cancel or suspend these Terms and Conditions at any time without notice to you. If we revise these Terms and Conditions, we will display the revised version on our website. You should endeavour to ALWAYS read the Terms and Conditions before placing your order.
By continuing to use the Service or placing orders once the Terms and Conditions have been changed, you will be accepting the modified changes.
Crime Prevention
Star Exchange will make every effort to prevent crime, and if inaccurate or false information is provided and fraud is evident, we will pass on your details to fraud prevention agencies.
We reserve the right to refuse to provide the Service to any customer whom we believe is carrying out any transaction for illegal purposes.
Confidential Information
All information provided by you to us will be treated as confidential, and we will not disclose any information we hold about you to others accept as is required to provide the Service, or at your request or with your consent, or as permitted by law.
You can apply in writing for a copy of certain personal information we hold about you in accordance with the Data Protection Act in the UK. The current fee is £10.00 per request for each individual.

Miscellaneous
If any of these Terms and Conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable in whole or in part for any reason (including, but not limited to the exclusions and limitations set out above) then the invalid or unenforceable provision will be severed from these Terms and Conditions and the remaining provisions shall not be affected and will continue to apply.
These Terms and Conditions together with other documents expressly referred to contain the entire agreement and understanding of the parties in respect of the subject matter and no other promises, terms, conditions or obligations (whether oral or written) shall be implied in these Terms and Conditions.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute, which cannot be resolved between us, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
